Silver Strikers FC is a Malawi Association Football club based in Lilongwe. The club started as a social team for members of staff for the Reserve Bank of Malawi hence the nickname The Bankers. They play at the Silver Stadium which has a capacity of 20,000 and have a rivalry with fellow Lilongwe club CIVO United.
SILVER STADIUM:
Silver Stadium, the home of the Silver Strikers FC, has the capacity of around 20,000 and was opened in the late 80s. Silver Stadium encompasses a number of other related facilities like Basketball, Netball and Volleyball. The netball and volleyball courts including the Reserve Bank of Malawi Club House which is fitted with a gym.
