Silver Strikers captain Zebron Kalima has been voted the club’s Player of the Month for July following another month of consistent and influential performances in the heart of the Central Bankers’ midfield.
Kalima’s recognition comes after a series of impressive displays in which he continued to play a key role in driving Silver Strikers’ attacking play while providing leadership both on and off the ball.
The midfielder’s impressive month was capped by a goal in Silver Strikers’ 1-1 draw against LUANAR Mitundu at Dedza Stadium.
Reacting to the award, Kalima expressed his excitement while crediting his teammates for the recognition.
“I am excited to win the award and it gives me more energy to do well in the coming games. However, this was possible as a team, therefore I dedicate it to my teammates, who we are working hard with to get positive results.”
Kalima’s award follows the club’s June Player of the Month recognition, which was won by striker Charles Chipala after an outstanding month in front of goal.
For winning the July player of the month, the captain received a K400,000 from Pinnacle Financial Services, a K500,000 shipping Voucher from Blue Waves Energy limited as well as a k500, 000 shopping voucher from CP Investments.
