Silver Strikers Head Coach Peter Mgangira says his side is well prepared for Saturday’s 2026/27 FDH Bank Premiership encounter against Ekhaya FC, with the team fully aware of the importance of the fixture.
Mgangira says preparations have gone well during the week everyone looks focused to get a good result and maintain the current position at the top of the table.
“Preparations have been well, and the team knows the importance of the game. We are ready for this match,” said Mgangira.
The Central Bankers currently lead the FDH Bank Premiership standings with 25 points, and return from a 1-0 victory over CRECK Sporting Club at Civo Stadium last week.
Mgangira expects a competitive contest against an improved Ekhaya FC side, but insists his team is ready for the challenge.
“We are playing a team that has improved so much. They have what it takes to give us a good game. We respect them, but we do not fear them. Therefore, we are ready for this match.”
The Central Bankers will, however, have to navigate several absences. Festus Duwe and Lumbani Nyondo are injured, while Innocent Shema and Innocent Mtonga are being monitored by the medical team.
Chinsisi Maonga and Dan Sandukira are suspended after picking up yellow cards, while Yankho Billiat is unavailable following the passing of his father in midweek.
