Silver Strikers Reserve Midfielder Prince Kumwembe has been voted the inaugural Reserve Team’s Player of the Month award.
Kumwembe featured in all four of the Reserve Team’s matches played in July, starting one game and making an impact as a substitute in the other three. Despite not starting every match, the midfielder consistently made his presence felt whenever he stepped onto the pitch.
The midfielder proved to be a game changer throughout the month, bringing energy, creativity and attacking influence to the team. he provided two assists for the Reserve Team’s two goals scored in July.
After receiving the award, he could not hide his excitement.
“I am so happy to have won the award in my first season with the team. It feels so nice to be recognized as a best player of the month. This will motivate me to do even more”, he said.
Kumwembe becomes the first Reserve Team player to win the Player of the Month award this season.
For winning the award, Kumwembe has received K100,000 from Pinnacle Financial Limited.
