This is week thirteen of the 2026/27 FDH Premiership and we are back at hoe as we host Ekhaya FC at Silver Stadium in Lilongwe on Saturday.
Ekhaya FC will be coming to Area 47 on Saturday to what promises to be an electric match in search of three points whilst the Central Bankers will be eager to safeguard their home unbeaten record.
Current Form:
Silver Strikers go into match week 13 with confidence returning from their second away win after beating CRECK Sporting Club 1-0 last weekend. The win pushed the Central Bankers to first position amassing 25 points from the 12 matches played. This far, the side has lost once, won seven times and has drawn four times.
Ekhaya FC is visiting Area 47 from a 1 all draw last week against Goshen City Dedza Dynamos at Mpira Stadium. The Cowboys are seventh on the standings with 17 points. The side has managed to win four matches, lost three times whilst sharing spoils five times.
Head-to-Head:
Since joining the top-flight league in 2025, Ekhaya FC has visited Silver Strikers at Silver Stadium once. This was their first time at Silver Stadium and the hosts won 3-1 and the return fixture at Mpira stadium ended 0-1 in favor of the Central Bankers.
Since the two sides have only met twice, the guests have never won a game against the sky blue and white side from Area 47. Written to their name is only a goal against silver Strikers in the first leg of the 2025 season whilst Silver Strikers has netted past Ekhaya FC’s goal four times.
Team News:
Dan Sandukira and Chinsisi Maonga will miss this week’s action due to an accumulation of three yellow cards in previous matches. The two went into the referee’s book when we played against LUANAR Mitundu FC a fortnight ago and last week when we play against CRECK Sporting Club.
Also, out of action this week due to injuries will be Festus Duwe, Lumbani Nyondo, Mally Kasongo and Innocent Mtonga.
Duwe and Nyondo are in rehabilitation pending their return to full action. Kasongo is out due to a foot injury whilst Mtonga has sustained a groin injury.
What’s at Stake:
Pride is at stake for both teams as the fight for points continue in the 2026/27 FDH Premiership. Silver Strikers will look to solidify their top spot whilst Ekhaya FC will look to move into the top four of the log table.
The hosts will want to make sure that their record against the cowboys remain undented as well continue a clean slate at home. The visitors have a point to prove so that they look for their first win against Silver Strikers.
