Silver Strikers Football Club has reached an agreement with Zimbabwean outfit Hard Rock FC for the permanent transfer of right-back McDonald Lameck on an undisclosed fee.
The transfer ends his successful spell with the Central Bankers after joining the club in 2024 where he established himself as one of the league’s outstanding defenders.
In 2024, Lameck played a key role in the club’s TNM Super League triumph, with his performances earning him the Best Defender Award for the 2024 season.
The dependable full-back continued to be an influential figure in the squad, helping Silver Strikers lift the 2025 FDH Cup while also playing an integral role in the club’s historic CAF Champions League campaign.
Silver Strikers Chief Executive Officer Patrick Chimimba wished Lameck well as he embarks on a new challenge in Zimbabwe.
“McDonald has been an outstanding player for Silver Strikers since joining us in 2024. His professionalism, commitment and performances have been exceptional, and he has contributed immensely to the club’s recent achievements. We wish him all the best at his new club,” said Chimimba.
The Club would like to thank McDonald for his dedicated service and valuable contribution to the Club and wishes him every success in the next chapter of his career.
