Three Silver Strikers players have made it in the Malawi National Football Team- the Flames squad that is going in camp ahead of the FIFA international break starting from 1 June 2026.
The three are goalkeeper George Chikooka, defender McDonald Lameck and midfielder Festus Duwe.
The three are part of the 23-man squad for the upcoming international friendly matches against Ethiopia next month.
Flames head coach Kalisto Pasuwa unveiled the squad on Thursday ahead of the two friendly encounters scheduled for 6 and 9 June 2026 in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
The matches form part of Malawi’s preparations for the forthcoming Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers, with Pasuwa using the opportunity to assess more players before the competitive campaign begins.
Goalkeeper Chikooka, defender Lameck and midfielder Duwe are among the locally based players selected in the squad.
