Head Coach Peter Mgangira has said his side is ready for the showdown on Sunday as Silver Strikers face Mighty Wanderers at Zomba Stadium in Zomba.

Mgangira says morale is high in camp as the side returns from a win last Sunday. Silver Strikers won 3-0 against Masters FC at Silver Stadium in Lilongwe.

The match on Sunday is taking place at Zomba Stadium, as Kamuzu Stadium, the home venue for the Lali Lubani outfit, was not certified to host elite matches.

The gaffer feels these are vital points to cement top spot.

“We are playing outside the central region for the first time since the start of the season. The feeling is extremely good as we look forward to this match. We are playing the defending champions, and it is always good to play the best, and the best thing to do is to have a positive result from these kinds of games, which is the more reason we are looking forward to a win”, said Mgangira.

Felix Dumakude, Eric Astigah, and Yankho Billiat are out of action as they continue to nurse injuries.

Silver Strikers is on top of the table with nine points from four games, having won three and lost once.

The hosts return to this match after a win last week against Mitundu Baptist at Dedza Stadium and are in position seven with six points and a game in hand.
