The Central Bankers returned to winning ways after beating Masters Football Club 3-0 at Silver Stadium.

Silver Strikers returned from a loss against Blue Eagles on Saturday last week.

On Sunday, the Central Bankers made one change bringing in Innocent Shema for Dan Sandukira.

In the 17th minute, Levison Maganizo received a pass from Zebron Kalima before sending the ball wide to Lameck Gamphani, who went past his marker and delivered a cross find Duwe. Duwe headed the ball but the effort went straight to the keeper. That was the first chance created in the match.

22 minutes into the game, Silver Strikers won a throw-in closer to the corner spot where McDonald Lameck took a long throw and Andrew Joseph connected the ball with a powerful header into the net.

Silver Strikers came wave after wave and at 31 minutes, Maganizo opened up Lameck who crossed the ball to find Lumbani Nyondo who headed the ball towards goal but missed the target.

Five minutes from halftime, Duwe doubled the lead when he converted a penalty after Joseph was brought down.

At half time, we led by two goals.

In the second half, our first chance came at 58 minutes when Maganizo switched play beautifully to find Gamphani who turned and twisted to cross the ball where he found Joseph whose header went straight to the keeper.

Our first change came in the 63rd minute when Lumbani Nyondo came off for Dan Sandukira. At 71 minutes, Gamphani and Joseph came off for Charles Chipala and Uchizi Vunga. Zebron Kalima and Festus Duwe were also substituted for Innocent Mtonga and Lassuli Jali.

When everyone thought all was over, Lameck received a long ball from the back and moved inside and took a shot with his left foot and scored.

The goal concluded the match and Silver Strikers took maximum points.
