Silver Strikers has on Monday finalized the transfer of forward Mally Kasongo from Chitipa United.
Kasongo becomes the third Silver Strikers signing after Christopher Mikuwa and Lumbani Nyondo, ahead of the 2026 football season. He has joined Silver Strikers on a three-year deal.
The 23-year-old forward netted seven goals and won one Man of the Match award in the 2025 league season.
After completing the transfer to Area 47, Kasonga said he looks forward to his next step.
“It is exciting to move to Lilongwe and play for Silver Strikers. Silver Strikers is one of the big clubs here in Malawi; they play to win each and every game, and their target is always to win silverwares. They played in the CAF Champions League last year, and that is no mean achievement. I would like to be part of such success, and I am ready to give my all”, said Kasongo.
The forward joined Chitipa United in 2024 and has been a reliable attacker for the side.
At Silver Strikers, he is expected to bolster the team’s attack ahead of the new season.
