Silver Strikers completed a second signing on Friday ahead of the 2026 season as the team has roped in fullback Lumbani Nyondo from Chitipa United.
Nyondo joins Silver Strikers on a three-year deal and comes in hours after Christopher Mikuwa also signed for the Area 47 side earlier on Friday.
After signing his contract, Nyondo said he is up for the challenge and can’t wait to start a new lease of life in Area 47.
“I am so excited to be part of the Silver Strikers journey, and I am so happy to move to Lilongwe. When I received the call that the team was interested in my services, I was very happy, and I couldn’t wait to start this new chapter and see how it goes. I want to thank officials from Emperor FC in Chitipa as well as Chitipa United officials for giving me the platform to showcase my skills and get where I am today”, said Nyondo.
Nyondo joined Chitipa United from his boyhood team, Impala FC, in 2024.
In the 2025 season, the 21-year-old defender won one Man of the Match award.
