Defenders Innocent Shema and McDonald Lameck, alongside midfielder Zebron Kalima, have been nominated for the November Player of the Month award.
The three will compete for the club’s monthly accolades, voted for by the club.
The winner will go away with a K500,000 shopping voucher from award-winning fashion store C.P Investments. In addition, Bluewaves Energy Limited will present the winner with a gas stove, a 6 kg cylinder, gas, an LPG pipe, and a regulator.
In November, Shema solidified his starting position in the team with splendid performances that saw him start five of the six games played during the month.
The multitasking defender, who can be deployed as a centreback, right or left back, came off the bench at half time away against Dedza Dynamos before scoring a goal against Civik Service United in the Lilongwe derby played at Civil Stadium. His performance on the day earned him a Man of the Match award.
Fellow defender Lameck also played in five of the six matches. The right back missed the match against Moyale Barracks at Silver Stadium as he was serving a suspension after picking up three yellow cards.
The right back found himself on the nomination list for his exceptional performances characterised by solid defending and lightning attacks from our right flank. The 2024 Silver Strikers’ best defender gets his second nomination this year after getting his first nomination in August.
Kalima is also on the nomination list for the third time this year. The left-footed midfielder was nominated in May and August but did not win on either occasion.
In November, the jersey number 10 did not miss a match, playing in all six and producing magnificent performances that helped Silver Strikers avoid defeat in the month. With his deft touches, Kalima propelled the Central Bankers forward, producing goal-threatening attacks and creating goal-scoring chances.
