Ahead of Wednesday’s match against Ekhaya FC, Head Coach Peter Mgangira says his team knows what they want as they play their 26th match of the league season.
Mgangira has said that despite the congested fixture and the lack of space to do more tactical work on the training field, he feels his side has been together for a long time, which makes it easy to work on the next match and recover from the previous match quickly.
Silver Strikers won 3-1 at Silver Stadium in the first round.
“The preparations for this match have been well, and we are ready for this match. There is a congestion of games, but as I said in the previous games is that we just need to manage the boys well physically but at the moment they look sharp for Wednesday. We have an advantage that we have a big squad that has quality players; therefore, everyone who is picked to play is always there to deliver. We are playing a good side, a youthful one which has a good technical panel, therefore we anticipate a good match which we need to win and get the three points,” said Mgangira.
Silver Strikers will go in this midweek fixture after a heavy 6-0 win on Sunday against Songwe Border United, whilst Ekhaya FC lost 1-0 in their last match to Mighty Wanderers.
The Central Bankers are currently at 53 points from 25 games.
