Despite facing Songwe Border United, who are already relegated, on Sunday, Head Coach Peter Mgangira says his side needs to remain focused and secure maximum points.
Mgagira says he anticipates a tough encounter against the northern region side as he feels the side has nothing to lose.
Silver Strikers will return on Sunday after winning 1-0 against Kamuzu Barracks on Thursday.
“We are currently back on the training field after the game yesterday. We are trying so much to manage the boys, but they look sharp. Playing against Songwe Border United won’t be easy; we are playing a team that is already relegated, and they have nothing to lose. We are playing at home, and we need the three points, but we are not giving ourselves pressure because we know what we are capable of doing, therefore we are taking a game at a time,” he said.
Regarding playing availability, Mgangira said Chinsisi Maonga will miss Sunday’s game due to a suspension for picking up three yellow cards, and Andrew Joseph is still not fit to play.
However, Ernest Petro has returned to training and will be assessed to see if he can play on Sunday.
The Central Bankers are currently in third position with 50 points in 24 games played.
