Head Coach Peter Mgangira says he expects a tough outing on Thursday as his side hosts Kamuzu Barracks Football Club in the 2025 TNM Super League.
Mgangira feels the Chiwoko-based Soldiers will come guns blazing, as they will be looking to avenge the loss inflicted on them in the first round. However, he was quick to say that his side is ready for the match and just needs to be tactically on point to grab maximum points.
Kamuzu Barracks last played seven days ago and went down 0-2 to FCB Nyasa Big Bullets. On the other hand, Silver Strikers return from a win on Sunday against Civil Service United.
“We are back to action tomorrow at home as we look to gather more points. The boys are in good shape as you know we are making sure we manage the boys so that we are able to play in this congested fixture. We know this will be a tough game against Kamuzu Barracks as they play a physical game but the boys will be up to it,” said Mgangira.
In the first round, Silver Strikers beat Kamuzu Barracks 0-2 at Champions Stadium in Mponela.
Thursday’s face off will be Silver Strikers’ 24th match of the 2025 season.
