The nomination list for October features three individuals who are not appearing for the first time this season. The three nominees for the October Player of the Month award are George Chikooka, Levison Maganizo, and Nickson Mwase.
In October, Silver Strikers faced Blue Eagles in the quarterfinal of the 2025 FDH Bank Cup before traveling to Blantyre to face FCB Nyasa Big Bullets in the TNM Super League. The side then hosted Young Africans (Yanga) Sports Club at Bingu National Stadium in Lilongwe, before returning to league action against CRECK Sporting Club. They wrapped up the month with an away fixture against Yanga SC in Tanzania.
This is how the three fared in October:
George Chikooka:
The shot-stopper had a very hectic month, playing in all five games in October. The games spanned from the TNM Super League, the FDH Bank Cup, and the CAF Champions League. Chikooka kept clean sheets against Blue Eagles in cup action and against Yanga SC at Bingu National Stadium in the CAF Champions League.
Levison Maganizo:
The jersey number 46 appeared in all matches but one, missing the game against CRECK Sporting Club at Silver Stadium. In the matches he featured in, Maganizo had been the stabilizer in his defending midfielder role, where he served as the starting point for all-out moves going forward. Maganizo won the July Player of the Month earlier this year.
Nickson Mwase:
The towering defender also had a fruitful month in October. Starting with a goal against Blue Eagles and a Man of the Match award in the same game, Mwase began the month on a high note. The jersey number 5 played in all five games in October, showing composure, hard work, and resilience at the back. Nickson Mwase earns a nomination for the second time this year.
