The month of July was hectic for Silver Strikers FC. During this period, the team played seven matches against CRECK Sporting Club, Mafco FC, Moyale Barracks, FCB Nyasa Big Bullets, Ekhaya FC, Mighty Wanderers, and Premier Bet Dedza Dynamos. These games were spread across different competitions and occasions.
Within the hectic month, three players stood out and earned nominations for Silver Strikers’ Player of the month award. The three will be voted for by the fans to win the monthly accolade. The nominees are midfielders Levison Maganizo, Zebron Kalima, and defender Nickson Mwase.
Levison Maganizo: The jersey number 46 who made a return to Silver Strikers last year has been nominated for the monthly award for the first time this year. Maganizo, featured in the starting line up four times in the seven games played in the month. He started in league matches against Moyale Barracks, Ekhaya FC, and Premier Bet Dedza Dynamos whilst also being part of the starting lineup against FCB Nyasa Big Bullets in the 2025 Airtel Top 8 Final.
With his impressive performances, the midfielder won the TNM Super League Man of the Match award two times, against Ekhaya FC and Premier Bet Dedza Dynamos.
Zebron Kalima: Scoring against Moyale Barracks at Rumphi Stadium to earn a point for his side was one of the top performances for him this far. Kalima was in the starting line up against CRECK Sporting club, Mafco, Moyale Barracks, FCB Nyasa Big Bullets, Ekhaya FC and Premier Bet Dedza Dynamos. The jersey number 10 was pivotal in helping the team move from defense to attack as he fed the striking force with his left footed deft passes. Apart from scoring In League action, Kalima provided an assist to Stanie Davie’s goal in the 2025 Airtel Top 8 Final against Bullets.
This is Kalima’s second time appearing on the nomination list.
Nickson Mwase: He appears on the nomination list for the first time this year. In July, Mwase’s performance rose as he consistently showed up to the occasion whenever given a chance to do so. The jersey number 5 played six out of the seven matches the team played in July. Amongst his best performances was an assist he provided to Zebron Kalima at Rumphi Stadium when we played against Moyale Barracks.
Mwase has, in the month, proved to be a rock at the back, with consistent performances that gave us the stability to start off attacks from our own defensive area.
