Head Coach Peter Mgangira says his players are set for the ceremonial match marking the celebration of First Capital Bank’s 30-year presence in Malawi.
As part of the celebration, Silver Strikers will play FCB Nyasa Big Bullets on Sunday.
Mgangira says the game will give a chance to those who have not played much to get more playing time and match fitness.
“It’s going to be a good game, we want to give a chance to those players who haven’t been playing for a long time, and especially those players who have returned from injury so that they can regain their match fitness. I always say that we signed 30 players who are equally very good. They are professionals, and this is an opportunity for some of the boys who haven’t been given a chance to show that they deserve to be in the first 11. So there’s nothing like belittling the game or whatever. This is an opportunity to show their skills. It is very important they play on Sunday,” said Mgangira.
The Central Bankers will return to league action on Wednesday as they face CRECK Sporting Club at Aubrey Dimba Stadium in Mchinji.
