Silver Strikers will make a short trip to Nankhaka Stadium in Area 30 on Sunday to face Blue Eagles in their seventh TNM Super League match of the season.

The team faces a significant setback, as eight players will miss Sunday’s match due to injuries.

Vice-Captain Maxwell Paipi is sidelined for this match after returning from duty with the Malawi National Football team, which competed in the 2025 Hollywood Bets COSAFA Cup in South Africa during the FIFA International break. Paipi was taken off in the first match against Lesotho after pulling his right thigh muscle. He will be joined on the sidelines by captain Chikondi Kamanga, who sustained an ankle injury during training last week.

Forward Emmanuel Allan is also absent for our seventh league match after suffering a shin injury in a friendly against Villa FC over the weekend. Allan is expected to return to training next week.

Left-back Precious Sambani will also miss this weekend’s match due to knee pain that resurfaced in training, following an injury he sustained while playing against Wanderers in Blantyre last month.

Samuel Ademeyi and Charles Chipala, both recovering from hamstring injuries, are currently in rehabilitation as they aim for full training. Gift Chunga, who injured his right toe during our match against Moyale Barracks in April this year, is also still in rehabilitation. Chunga may return to the pitch for light training next week.

Duncan Nyoni, who is currently ill, will not make the trip to Nankhaka Stadium on Sunday. Nyoni is expected back next week.

On a positive note, Zebron Kalima is back and up for selection this week after missing the Lilongwe derby due to injury.

This is the current injury update as we head into our seventh league match against the Area 30 cops.
