Left-back Precious Sambani and center-back Emmanuel Kaunga have returned to training after recovering from a knock and malaria, respectively.

Sambani was forced off in the 72nd minute of the match against Mighty Wanderers on Sunday after injuring his left knee. As a result, he missed training on Tuesday, but recovered and rejoined the rest of the squad on Wednesday.

On the other hand, Kaunga has returned to training after recovering from Malaria, which left him sidelined last week as we were preparing for the trip to Blantyre.

Currently, we have no new injuries in the squad. The only players that are still not up for action are Gift Chunga, Sam Ademeyi, Charles Chipala, and Tatenda M’balaka.

Gift Chunga remains in rehabilitation as he is constantly working with the team’s physiotherapist for his return. He is expected to be back in two to three weeks as he recovers from a broken toe. Ademeyi and Chipala are under close monitoring as they recover from groin injuries. Neither has tasted competitive action this season.

This is the injury update in Area 47 ahead of the Lilongwe Derby on Sunday.
