We continue with league action in May as we travel to Blantyre to play Mighty Wanderers on Sunday at Kamuzu Stadium.
The trip will rekindle last year’s memories where we played at the same venue on 30 November.
On a positive note, Gift Chunga’s Plaster of Paris (POP) was removed on Tuesday and a scan showed that his toe has recovered. Currently Chunga is in rehabilitation working on his return to the field in two weeks time.
Still nursing a hamstring injury is Sam Adeyemi. He has been out for three weeks but is expected to be back in training next week. Adeyemi joined Silver Strikers earlier this year.
New on the list of players missing in action is center-back Emmanuel Kaunga who is down with Malaria. Team Medical personnel have been monitoring him and expect him to return after treatment in five days, thereby missing the trip to Blantyre.
Charles Chipala’s radiologist’s translation of his Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) scan are back and team’s medical personnel are working on a plan to address his groin injury. Still sidelined with Chipala is Tatenda M’balaka who is still on rehabilitation.
This is the injury list ahead of our trip to Blantyre.
