Silver Strikers Head Coach Peter Mgangira anticipates a tough opposition on Sunday as the Central Bankers play against Moyale Barracks in the quarterfinal return leg of the 2025 Airtel Top 8.

The Area 47 side won the first leg 1-0, with a goal courtesy of a Festus Duwe tap in.

Mgangira, however, says his side needs to root for a win and not merely defend the first leg goal.

“It’s going to be a difficult game as we are playing away. We lead by a goal but we are not here to defend the goal but rather win it and proceed to the semifinals. The team is in good shape as we continue to play well and create a lot of chances, i expect the boys to replicate their Thursday performance,” said Mgangira.

A win will seal a semifinal spot against the winner between Civil Service United against Mzuzu City Hammers.

On record, Silver Strikers has never been booted out of the Airtel Top 8 before the semifinal stage.
