Injury update for Match Week 4
Action returns in May as we travel north to complete two assignments: one in the TNM Super League and the other in the Airtel Top 8.
The trip will start with a stop at Karonga Stadium on Thursday to entertain Songwe Border United in league action, and later on, make a stop at Mzuzu Stadium on Sunday to face Moyale Barracks in Cup action.
On a positive note, Felix Dumakude and Patrick Macheso, who were on the previous injury update, are back in full action and are available for selection.
However, three faces will miss this trip due to various injuries.
Gift Chunga has not yet returned to training after sustaining an injury to his right toe against Moyale last month. He was ruled out for three weeks and is expected to have his plaster of Paris removed this week.
Still nursing a hamstring injury is Sam Adeyemi. He has been out for two weeks but is expected to be back in training next week. Adeyemi joined Silver Strikers earlier this year.
Charles Chipala, who got his Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) scan last week, is currently awaiting a radiologist’s translation and advice on his scan results. Chipala is struggling with a groin injury.
This is the injury list ahead of our trip up north this week.
