We are now in May, where competitive football enters its second month. To begin the football year, the men’s senior team took part in the curtain raiser of the season against Mighty Wanderers, we started both league action and the Airtel Top 8.
In the league, we began with a loss on the first day, going down 0-1 to FCB Nyasa Big Bullets at Bingu National Stadium before sharing spoils (2-2) with Chitipa United at Karonga Stadium. We later made a short trip to Champions Stadium in Mponela, where we grabbed our first league win (0-2) against Kamuzu Barracks.
In the Airtel Top 8, the Central Bankers kick-started the 2025 journey with a 1-0 win against Moyale Barracks at Silver Stadium in Lilongwe.
Going forward, we are mostly on the road in May. We will begin our assignments on 10th May, hosting MAFCO FC in league action, before traveling to Karonga to face Songwe United four days later at Karonga Stadium.
On 17th May, the Central Bankers will be in Mzuzu at Mzuzu Stadium for the Airtel Top 8 return leg against Moyale Barracks before traveling to Blantyre a week later to face Mighty Wanderers in league action at Kamuzu Stadium.
