Head Coach Peter Mgangira has stated that his team is prepared to begin the 2025 TNM Super League season as the Area 47 based side face FCB Nyasa Big Bullets in the league’s opener at Bingu National Stadium in Lilongwe on Saturday.
The Central Bankers return ffrom a Charity Shield victory against Mighty Wanderers on last Saturday at the same venue.
Mgangira mentioned that, despite some minor injuries to his squad, he believes the players are ready for the challenge on Saturday.
“We are eager to kickstart the season on Saturday, as the players are excited about the game. A win last week in the Charity Shield was crucial as it boosted the squad’s morale. We hope for a favorable result to maintain our momentum, ” said Mgangira.
Silver Strikers will begin their title defense without full-back Nickson Mwase, who is recovering from an injury sustained while on national duty in Tunis two weeks ago.
