Silver Strikers Ladies Head Coach Andrew Chikhosi anticipates a tough encounter against Kukoma Ntopwa Women at Mpira Stadium in the 2024 Goshen FAM Women’s Championship final but says his side is set for the showdown.
The Area 47 Ladies qualified for the finals after beating Ascent Academy 4-2 in post-match penalties, following a goalless draw on Thursday.
Chikhosi says the team is ready to take on Kukoma Ntopwa Women and that morale is high in the camp.
“We have had a great tournament since we arrived in Blantyre, we played two games in the playoffs that helped us to gel even more. Beating Civil in the Quarterfinals and Ascent in the Semi-finals has shown us that the team is up for the match on Saturday. We are urging the players to calm down and execute our game plan and see ourselves through the final,” said Chikhosi.
Last year, Silver Strikers Ladies were booted out of the National tournament in the semifinal stage.
