The Football Association of Malawi (FAM) has announced crucial dates for the 2025 football season which among other things highlight the dates for the 2025 Charity Shield, which marks the start of the season, and the commencement of major tournaments such as the TNM Super League, Airtel Top 8, FDH Cup, and the Castel Challenge Cup.
According to the FAM Football Competitions Calendar, The Central Bankers will be part of the 2025 Charity Shield slated for 29 March this year. During the match, the 2024 TNM Super League Champions will play against the 2024 Castel Challenge Cup Champions Mighty Wanderers.
A week later, the Central Bankers will begin their TNM Super League title defense as the Super League is set to begin on 5 April.
Silver Strikers will be back for a tussle for the honors of the 2025 Airtel Top 8 from 4 May whilst the 2025 round of 32 of the FDH Bank Cup will begin on 25 August.
The country’s top-flight league is expected to end on 21 February 2026 whilst the FDH Bank is scheduled to end on 1 November this year. The Castel Challenge Cup will roll into action from the preliminary round on 28 June and the final scheduled for 28 February next year.
The FAM Football Competitions Calendar also shows that the Airtel Top 8 will end on 28 June this year with most of the games (Semifinals and Quarterfinals) played in May.
