2024 Champions elect Silver Strikers aim for a grand finale of the 2024 TNM Super League Season on Saturday as they host Premier Bet Dedza Dynamos at Silver Stadium in Lilongwe.
The Area 47 side cemented the championship last Saturday after beating Mighty Mukuru Wanderers to stretch the lead to 64 points.
It’s a game that is coming in a season that the Bankers have collected maximum points from 11 games played at their backyard and shared spoils three times.
Head Coach Peter Mponda has said the last match of the season is very important as it will be a litmus test for the boys reaction having already won the league.
“Yes, of course, we wrapped up the league, but we want to finish the race on a high note on Saturday. It’s a very important game for us I think a win is what the fans deserve as they have been awesome throughout the season. This is a very important game of the season because we want to test the thinking of the players as we want to see how they will manage the game having already won the league last weekend. We are asking our fans to come in large numbers and be with us and party with us”, said Mponda.
The Central Bankers played to a one-all draw in Dedza when the two sides met in the first round of the league.
