Silver Strikers Ladies Assistant Coach Bothwell Saka has said his side is ready to face league leaders Ascent Academy on Saturday at Chilimampunga ground in Lilongwe.
This will be the team’s second match in the second round of the 2024 Central Region Goshen-FAM Women’s League after thrashing FACT Football 5-0 in the opening match.
The Area 47 Ladies are second on the standings with 21 points, four behind Ascent Academy.
Saka says a good game plan and preparation is what is needed to contain the pressure ahead of this encounter.
“We have had a great start to the second round compared to how we started the first round. Going into this match we are on track in terms of preparation and we aim to collect maximum points. Currently, we don’t want to have any pressure ahead of this match as we are taking the game consciously so that we do well”, said Saka.
Silver Strikers Ladies will go into this match without the services of Wezi Banda who received matching orders in the previous match.
In the first round, the two sides played to a one-all draw in a game played at Silver Stadium in Lilongwe.
