Silver Strikers head Coach Peter Mponda anticipates a tough game on Wednesday against relegation battlers Bangwe All Stars.
Bangwe All Stars returned to winning ways a fortnight ago in a 0-1 victory against FCB Nyasa Big Bullets before thrashing Baka City 3-0 to register back to back wins under their new coach Trevor Kajawa.
Last Saturday, the Blantyre based side won 1-0 again against Mighty Mukuru Wanderers in cup action in regulation time.
Mponda feels that the results that Bangwe All Stars has secured of recent gives a clear picture of how strong the opponent is.
“This is an important match but it will be a difficult game as of recent Bangwe has picked up form. There is three points at stake we need to work for it and secure it at all cost. Our recent form in cup games should not betray us as the wins are here due to hard work”, said Mponda.
A win on Wednesday will break last season’s tally. The Bankers finished second position with 50 points.
