The second round of the top-flight league kick started a fortnight ago with us making a trip to Karonga where we returned home as 0-1 victors over the hosts. After a week of no action on our end, we make a return into league action on Saturday as we face Mighty Tigers at home.
Ahead of the 17th match of the season, we give you an injury update.
This week, the update is full of positive news as currently, we don’t have anyone on the injury list. All players who were ruled out for the past weeks have all returned to the team ahead of the game on Saturday.
Gift Chunga who has been out since match week 3 is back on the field of play. Chunga suffered a knee injury in training but returned to the team last week and he is available for selection this week.
Charles Chipala is currently out of rehabilitation after some weeks with a recurrent hamstring injury. The forward played the whole 90 minutes in Karonga regardless of being in rehabilitation. Joining Chipala and Chunga is left-back Tatenda M’balaka who was nursing a knee injury that he sustained when we played against Mzuzu City Hammers at home in mid-July. Currently, he is also training with the rest of the squad.
Lastly, new signings Micheck Selemani and Levison Maganizo are all fit for the match this weekend as they look forward to getting their first minutes of play with the Central Bankers.
Currently, the whole team is fit and geared for action come Saturday.
