Silver Strikers Ladies head coach Andrew Chikhosi says his side is ready for the weekend’s showdown in the Dyna Top 4 Central Region Women’s Football Bonanza scheduled for Saturday 6th and Sunday 7th April this year.
Chikhosi said the Bonanza will help his side fine tune ahead of the FAM Women’s National Championship.
The Dyna Top 4 Central Region Women’s Football has dangled MK 2.5 million and will be hosted at Nankhaka Stadium in Lilongwe.
The 2023 Central Region Women’s League top teams that will take part in the Bonanza include MDF Lioness, Civil Service Ladies, Silver Strikers Ladies and Hungry Lions.
The gaffer added that the tournament is a good platform to try other combinations ahead of the national championships.
“The team is ready for this bonanza as we’re in the fourth week of our training this year. The bonanza is very important for Silver ladies as it will help us to see the areas which we need to improve and it will also help us to find the right combinations among the players and see the fitness levels of the players as we prepare for the national championship”, said Chikhosi.
Silver Strikers Ladies will face off with MDF Lioness on Saturday and the winner will play in a final against the winner between Civil Service United and Hungry Lions on Sunday.
