As the fine tuning for the 2024 season continues, Silver Strikers Football Club has promoted from its Reserve side midfielder Eustice Mwale and Defender Innocent Mtonga. The two have penned three-year contracts with the Central Bankers.
Mwale and Mtonga were part of the Silver Strikers Reserve team that took part in the 2023 Chipiku Central Region Football league.
Also joining the team is Paul Kansungwi who is returning to Malawi after a one year stint with Mozambican top league side Clube Ferroviario de Nampula.
Speaking after signing his two-year contract, Kansungwi said he was excited to begin a new challenge at Silver Strikers Football Club.
“I would like to thank God for allowing me to play for Silver Strikers therefore I pledge my all for the team. I understand what a team like Silver Strikers wants so I will be at my best to give back the trust shown to me”, he said.
Kansungwi is the fifth signing ahead of the 2024 season after roping in Christopher Gototo, McDonald Lameck, George Chikooka, and Binwell Katinji.
