The party is still on in the Castel Challenge Cup as we are set to play Bangwe All Stars on Saturday at Kamuzu Stadium in Blantyre.
This is the first semifinal of the tournament and whoever wins will take the first sip through to the final.
We have scored 16 goals and conceding 3 goals in the tournament while our opponents had scored 17 goals and have only conceded once.
To reach this stage we have booted out St Gabriel Zitha FC (5-0) in the round of 32 then cruised past Ekwendeni United (7-1) in the round of 16 before beating Blue Eagles (4-2) in the quarterfinals.
Our opponents won 7-0 against Nsuwadzi FC (in the round of 64), then 9-1 against Bocca Juniors FC (in the round of 32) before booting out Mafco with a 1-0 win in the round of 16. They booked their semifinal slot after winning 3-4 in post match penalties when they couldn’t break the deadlock in regulation time against Chitipa United.
The two sides meet after two home and away goal thrilling fixtures in league action. Silver Strikers won 4-1 at home at Bingu National Stadium in Lilongwe in the first round before Bangwe All Stars setting up a revenge with a 3-2 win at Kamuzu Stadium in Blantyre.
The two sides are proven perfect goal poachers, a thrilling semifinal match wont be a surprise come Saturday.
