Head coach Hendrikus Pieter de Jongh says the team is under no pressure going into Match week 8 of the TNM Superleague.

The Central Bankers are set to play Kamuzu Barracks on Sunday. Silver Strikers FC are two points behind leaders FCB Nyasa Big Bullets.

De Jongh said currently he has a full house as there is no one set to miss the next assignment come Sunday.

“We have played seven matches so far and we have collected 15 points from the possible 21 and I think thats good. Our opponents have also dropped points along the way but my job is to help Silver Strikers and thats what am doing. We are second on the log table and we are okay, we feel we are on the right track. I appreciate my team, the technical panel, players and everyone am working with. You must take note as well that we are a team everyone is looking forward to play with and win but we are okay with that. We will do whatever possible for us to win games”, said De Jongh.

On Sunday’s match against Kamuzu Barracks, the gaffer said he respects everyone who they will play against and look forward to the match.

“We have played against Kamuzu Barracks once in a friendly. They are a good side but we are on top of our game. We are creating lots of chances and we want to score more goals. We are playing the best football in the country and we look forward to win the match.” he said.

Commenting on Adiel Kaduya training with the main team, De Jongh said the 18 year old forward Adiel Kaduya who is the current top scorer in the Central Region Chipiku Premier Division is training with the senior team as he believes he has what is takes to be there.

The Dutch said he is very observant of all players under Silver Strikers FC.

“As the head coach of Silver Strikers FC, I am also the head of the technical team here. I look after all teams. I follow each and every player, Kaduya is doing so well and I think he deserves a chance with the senior team. I should say the day is open regardless of age, as long as you are good I will include you in my plans”, he added.
