After being away from the league duties for two weeks Silver Reserve will be back in action in the Chipiku league this Saturday as they play at home.
Away from reaching the Aubrey Dimba trophy final, the junior bankers will welcome St Gabriel in the league having won away to Airborne two weeks earlier.
The two weeks were bitter sweet as the bankers were booted out of the Nyasa capital Finance Cup by Zaithwa FC. The cup was left for all to take as the Reserve team were the defending champions.
However, last Sunday the team reached the final of the Aubrey Dimba trophy for a second year running, having beaten Extreme FC in post-match penalties and will await the winners between Nyasa Big Bullets Reserve and Kamuzu Barracks Reserve.
Silver Reserve started their journey in the Dimba trophy in the round of 16 where they met Santhe Admarc before ousting St. Gabriel in the quarter final stage before finally beating Extreme to book a final place from the last four in the tournament that is played in Kapiri Mchinji.
St. Gabriel will be on a revenge mission against Silver booted them out of the Aubrey Dimba trophy. The young bankers will want to rake up points so as to get in the next round of games.
