Despite getting off injured during the 16th minute as Silver was playing against Rumphi United, Maxwell Paipi will not be on the sidelines for long.
After being assessed by the Silver team doctors, Paipi’s time out of the team sheet will be brief as he has been given one week to recover from the groin injury he encountered during the game in Rumphi.
In a related development goalkeeper Steve Micheta had his knee cast removed last week Monday and after an MRI scan he has been cleared of any fracture for his knee injury sustained in the FDH cup round of 32 defeat by Dedza Dynamos.
Micheta will however go for an X-ray today(Thursday) for the final check to declare him eligible to start physiotherapy as part of his rehabilitation.
Other players on the injury list include Tatenda M’balaka who sustained a knock during Ekwendeni’s draw with Silver last Friday but is expected to return today after resting for 3 days and on the long term injury list there is one person in Misheck Malaicha.
Silver plays Red Lions in the league on Sunday at the Bingu National Stadium.
