Silver strikers got their day of redemption after thumping 4 goals past TN stars in a league match at home on a cold Wednesday afternoon in the capital.

The Bankers trailed in just under 2 minutes after Alexander Cosmas volleyed past keeper Steven Micheta in his third consecutive start for the bankers this season.

However, a tactical switch by Silver Strikers by bring off Tathedwa Willard to bring on Maxwell Phodo paid its dividends in full after Phodo teed up Zebron Kalima who after dribbling past two TN stars players just over the edge of the 18-yard area and shot past Blackson Kotei to level and take it to half time at one all on the score board.

The second half was all merry for the bankers who got a penalty which was converted by Chawanangwa Kaonga who showed brilliance and added his second of the match after beating the TN Stars defence after Stenie Davie scored the third goal for the bankers before being taken off by acting head coach Yobe.

Frank Chizuze and Phillip Banda showed flashes of brilliance for the TN side they are loaned to by Silver Strikers from this season.

At the end of the day, Silver Strikers got its redemption and got their first big score margin this season to the happiness of Yobe who cited that the tactical switch and the resilience of the players who showed character and adhered to instruction was needed to give the home fans a win.

Silver Strikers travel to Chitowe Stadium in Dwangwa to meet MAFCO in the last encounter of the first round in the TNM Super League.
