Silver Strikers were held to a 1-all draw at the Silver Stadium on Sunday when they faced old age rivals Civil Service United in the Lilongwe derby.
Silver proved to be at home in the 6th minute as they pounced on Civil to have a narrow lead after Blessings Tembo found Chawanangwa Kaonga in the 18-yard box and he placed it far beyond the reach of Ernst Kakhobwe.
However, the celebrations were short lived after Civil equalized in the same first half after Taonga Chimodzi was fouled in the Silver 18 area following a Civil corner kick with their goal was scored by Patrick Phiri.
The central bankers came close several times through Kaonga, Davie and Macheso but all their efforts went either wide or straight into the palms of Kakhobwe.
Silver Strikers has 4 points in 3 matches in the 2022 season with only 2 goals to their name.
Silver next faces Sable Farming FC in an away fixture as they seek their next 3 points.
