After beating the Civil Servants in a thrilling derby semifinal, history was written as Silver edged Civil in a 2-0 game at the Bingu National Stadium.

Talking of history, the game before us this weekend, the final of the Airtel Top 8 Cup is going to be the first cup final Silver Strikers pair with Nyasa Big Bullets in the new Millennium.

This game means a lot to the football powerhouses are both have a crown each from the 2020/21 season as NBB are the current league champions whereas Silver are the FDH Bank Cup champions.

Silver looks to defend the Airtel Top 8 in its fourth edition as the Bankers are the defending champions having won it back in 2019 season after defeating Karonga United. The Bankers have taken the cup twice since its inception in 2017.

Bullets and Silver meet for the fourth time this season as Silver booted Bullets oy of the FDH cup enroute to clinching the prestigious cup prior to that the two also won once each in the league with each team winning at home.

The venue is the Kamuzu Stadium this Saturday, 18th December 2021.
