Silver Strikers are the Champions of the FDH Bank Cup which they clinched after ousting Ekwendeni Hammers 2-0 at the Bingu National Stadium.
The Inaugural season of the cup saw the bankers lifting the trophy after they scored in either half to take home the 25-million-kwacha prize money which is the highest in Malawian football for a club competition.
Goals by Frank Banda and Stain Davie were enough to put smiles of thousands of supporters who thronged the Bingu Stadium to witness Daniel Kabwe take the prestigious cup and win his first silverware for the club in his maiden season.
In the journey to the final Kabwe and his troops trounced Immigration, Moyale, NMC Big Bullets and Mighty Wanderers to secure a place in the final and at the end of 90 minutes the bankers prevailed.
Man of the match for the match was winger Zebron Kalima who was promoted from the reserve side this season.
