Silver Strikers are in pole position to clinch their first title under Daniel Kabwe next month as the Central Bankers take on Ekwendeni Hammers in the FDH Bank Cup Final match of which the winner is expected to pocket 25 million as prize money.
As it is, the bankers are assured of 7 million which the second placed team will get on the day but will have to battle it out with the Hammers who have shown resilience as they have reached a cup final in their first year of top flight football to get the title and the remaining 18 million.
In this journey the Bankers have shown character, adversity and discipline to reach the finals against all odds stacked in their path outwitting Immigration, Moyale, Nyasa Big Bullets and most recent Mighty Wanderers.
Silver reached this stage with 9 goals scored by 8 different players showing the quality that Kabwe has at his disposal with Maxwell Phodo, Chinsinsi Maonga, Duncan Nyoni, Frank Banda, Blessings Tembo, Patrick Macheso and Mark Fodya each with a goal and Stenie Davie with a brace in this competition.
Of the four matches played the boys in sky blue have managed to concede in two games only in the round of 32 match against Immigration and the quarter final fixture against Nyasa Big Bullets with 2 goals as the latter team managed a single goal.
As stated above, in his first season Kabwe has taken Silver to a final and all will be known by the 15th October 2021 at the Bingu National Stadium which will host the final match of the FDH Bank Cup.
