Midfielder Jack Chiona has finally undergone surgery on his injured knee which made him not to be part of the 2020/21 team squad in the corona virus ridden season.
The surgery was a success and he has started healing quite well after he was operated on by an Orthopedic surgeon at Beit Cure who had earlier diagnosed Chiona with a ruptured Osteochondral lesion.
Chiona joined Silver strikers from Dwangwa United in 2018 and showed brilliance in the middle of the pack showing his talent as an attacking midfielder and was pivotal in the 2019 season campaign which saw Silver clinch the Airtel Top 8 Challenge Cup.
Despite showing good progress, Silver Strikers team doctor Chikondi Kaminga has said Chiona will not return to the field of play this season as he has been given 12 weeks to recover fully to be further assessed.
Kaminga has told this website that Chiona will start physiotherapy four weeks from now in a bid to start his recovery process.
Get well soon lad
Wishing him k recovery
