Silver Strikers have contributed 7 players to the national team camp, which has commenced this week in preparation for the CAF qualifiers next month.
Silver who are topping the local TNM super league have sent players in every department to the Meck Mwase led team after their exploits in the league has proved the players worthwhile of the call up.
Brighton Munthali, Charles Thom, Mark Fodya, Duncan Nyoni, Stenie Davie, Maxwell Phodo Gasten and Herbert Wayekha are the players that have been called into the Flames squad. However, Wayekha tested covid-19 positive and is currently in isolation to fight the virus and will join the team once he tests negative after the mandatory 10-14 days.
Maxwell Phodo has earned his first call up to the national team after scoring 5 in 9 games and joint second league top scorer with fellow banker Stenie Davie.
Now to team news, all players are fit and raring to get into action as rumor is getting by in football circles of the imminent resumption of the elite league in the country.
