Silver defied all odds to grab 3 points from MAFCO FC at the Chitowe Stadium in a TNM super league encounter in the new year.
Silver took the lead after Stenie Davie picked out Patrick Macheso in the 8th minute to score his fourth of the season and put Silver in the lead in the early minutes of the first half. A Solid performance from Mpachika and Mwase gave the bankers hope and relief to hold on till the stroke of half time.
Maxwell Phodo showed brilliance early on in the second half and provided an assist to Stenie Davie to put the bankers two goals clear of MAFCO in the second half.
A defensive lapse as Robert failed to communicate with Thom gave MAFCO hope to place Silver holding on to their lead till the ref stopped play and it was silver grabbing all the three points.
Daniel Kabwe has said the win today guarantees the performance as Silver is the first team to beat MAFCO who were on the summit before the game and doing that away is a bonus for him and the boys.
