In an act of professionalism and brotherhood, Blue Eagles FC has refunded Silver Strikers the MK3.5 million paid to them for the services of Vitumbiko Kumwenda, who changed his mind at an eleventh hour.
Kumwenda was a target for Silver and all processes were done with his former club Blue Eagles including agreement of personal terms with the player. However, Kumwenda changed his mind on a day he was to sign a contract with The Central Bankers and opted for a different club.
Having noticed that the player had changed his mind, Silver wrote Blue Eagles withdrawing the interest in the player and asked The Cops to reverse the process and let the player join a team of his choice and consequently refund the initial deposit.
Blue Eagles agreed to pay back Silver Strikers money for the failed deal and the Police Headquarters team has lived up to their word.
Silver Strikers Company Limited CEO Thokozani Chimbali has hailed Blue Eagles for the sportsmanship displayed as Silver did not struggle to get the money back. Blue Eagles through their Vice General Secretary William S. Nkhoma delivered the cheque at the bankers backyard in Area 47 on Wednesday 23rd December 2020.

I want to disagree that Vitumbiko wanted to sign for us. Silver is a big club and with great effort management is putting to turn it into a complete professional Club, such kind of mediocre businesses become infections towards raising the standards. please avoid such businesses next time.
