Passion used to be the order of the day, back in our playing days says Dave Moya a Silver Strikers legend who is now a youth coach for Silver Strikers.
He fondly remembers his first trophy in Area 47 as the Standard Bank Cup in 2007, he cherishes the moment he grabbed this trophy as it was the start of a successful career glittering with league honors consecutively.
Moya who had Sibusiso Padambo, Bright Nyirongo, Itai Nundwe, Bothwell Saka, Atusaye Nyondo and McNeal Chitsundi as some of his teammates in the year he took his first major trophy with Silver differentiates players of the two generations on issues of dedication and commitment.
“Most of us were giving our all to the team, and we were not selfish as the goal was to repay the faith the team had in us when buying s by performing on the pitch”, says the soft spoken former winger.
Moya retorts that players in the league are after fame and money something which was not the case in their days as they are not passionate about the game and don’t feel the pain of losing because they are satisfied by fame alone.
