Silver Strikers will start the season without midfielder Jack Chiona who is ruled out with a recurring knee injury.
Chiona has been carrying the anterior cruciate ligament injury since last year and has for the past month been going for checkups to determine the best medical solution to the injury.
Head coach Dan Kabwe has told this website it is not possible for Jack to start the season with the team having not trained since the resumption of football in the country on October 17 2020.
Kabwe has led Silver to three training matches against Kamuzu Barracks, Tigers, TN Stars and Red Lions resulting into a mixed bag of two draws, a loss and a win with the Charity Shield fast approaching and the league a week after.
