Despite drawing in the two training matches with Kamuzu Barracks yesterday, Daniel Kabwe is happy with his team’s performance after 0-0 and 1-1 score lines respectively.

Two weeks after training resumed, Silver Strikers and Kamuzu Barracks tussled yesterday at the Silver stadium to assess their players against an opposition side.

In the first game Silver Strikers created a lot of chances that were not converted as Patrick Macheso and Kondwani Mwaila failed to score in either half. The introduction of Philip Banda at the turn of half time was not enough to get a goal either as KB defense showed resilience.

The KB frontline led by Kelvin Hanganda had more offside calls than shots on target against Steve Micheta who was on goals for the bankers as it ended goalless.

The second game was a marvel to watch as well as a midfield battle between Dave Banda and Ndaona Daisi of KB against Chikondi Kamanga and Levison Maganizo was won when the midfileders won a ball that led to a Chinsisi Maonga goal which was assisted by Thuso Paipi.

The bankers played umodzi-umodzi and created several chances which striker Maxwell Phodo did not convert thanks to a very outstanding performance by goalkeeper Hastings Banda who saved more than 7 shots on target.

After the matches, head coach Daniel Kabwe said he is encouraged by the shape the team is in and they now will focus on the areas they noticed during the training match but he is happy with the number of chances created in the two games.
