Striker Chinsinsi Maonga says young players need to be patient for their time and they must always be ready to perform and deliver when called upon by their mentors.
Maonga told this website that the key to having game time as a young player gets down to humility and working hard during training aside from being talented during his guest appearance in the weekly player profile segment last Thursday.
The striker who has been in Silver Strikers FC youth setup since 2016 was promoted earlier this year to the senior squad following the departure of close to 20 players that were all in the senior team.
“I am not fazed by the comparison as some fans might think am not ready to play for the senior team but I am ready to perform and must not be compared to the clubs former players”, said Maonga.
Maonga is up for contention as he was registered this year as a Silver Strikers player for all competitions after featuring for the Silver Reserve team last season in the Chipiku League.
